I know what you said but you're not answering the question. How will it have any effect? I know they can be sued in any country but any country besides China would be useless as you're not even going to get back what you spend on a drawn out legal case.

I’m not sure why you’re being obtuse here, Huawei can copy and pirate and sell those goods in China without too much risk, if they decide to sell those phones with pirated or unlawful software or components in eg Europe then Huawei can be sued in the courts in Europe.

It’s a simple statement I made and I struggle to see why anyone would find it hard to understand. If they decide to breach patents, or use components without permission they will not be able to trade outside China, and maybe even not in China seeing as Chinese courts aren’t as one sided anymore, look at the Land Wind case.

That I know. But it may change now that Donald Dump is trying to play hardball. If China is really forced to they will look out out for their own interests which will turn them into an even bigger threat.

They are making more sense than you, it’s quite clear he/she is saying that if Huawei Europe was to sell a phone that contravened patents or used black market parts they would be liable to taken to court in Europe. It’s more like being caught in a country and being tried and convicted for breaking their computer systems in that country.

As SpacePirate says, Huawei has subsidiaries in western countries, those subsidiaries can be sued. Huawei is stuffed if they were to try and sell new uncertified products with any parts or tech from any customer companies that have stopped the use of their parts.

No it isn't. I'm still waiting to hear what you'd get if you sue them anywhere outside China. For the umpteenth I'm not saying they can't be sued. They can be sued in any country in the world even if their devices aren't being sold there but it would be useless. It's clear you don't understand the analogy.
