Hub Odometer where to find?

I am in the process of purchasing a venter trailer and would like some way of measuring the distance the trailer travels. I see there is something called a hubodometer. Any ideas where to purchase one locally?

Does anyone have any experience with a hubodometer?

Would it not be possible to mount a cheap cycling computer on the Venter Trailer? The "head unit" or main cycling computer can removed when not in use, and you can calibrate it by using the circumference of the tyre, which should give you a fairly accurate distance measurement. You can get one for about R200 at Sportsman's Warehouse, Makro or any local cycle store.

Anyone who works with Buses i.e. BUSMARK, should be able to advise as they put these things on the buses
