I have just bought a Hug Bug Pro pool cleaner and set it up in my pool.

It is doing a great job, but occasionally it tilts backwards and then goes flat again.

How can I stop the tilting?

I have tried moving the float on the lead hose up and down, and I have slowed down the pressure at the weir regulator, but it still happens.

Check the hoses if air is not leaking. Did you check if all the hose weights are there and set correctly?

Since it's new I doubt the filter is clogged.

I've just had my filter's sand replaced, so that's all good. The hoses are also connected tightly.

My unit did not come with hose weights.

Not sure what else could be wrong then.

Is your pool filled with >50% water btw? I used to get tilting when the pool wasn't filled.

Pool is full.

I'm sure it must be something to do with the placement of the lead hose float. The instructions state between 350mm and 500mm above the machine, and I've moved it from one end to the other, but it makes no difference.

The cleaner is doing a great job though - much better coverage than my previous cleaner (Voyager), so I suppose I should not worry about the tilting. It bugs me though.
