Huge ADSL Line Noise!!

Hey guys...

whats the deal here, my friends linksys router is registering huge amounts of noise.

Downstream Transmit Power: 16777214 db
Upstream Transmit Power: 16777207 db

am i right here? is this noise or something else? could it be the router?

and his con has really got ****ty too.

Those large numbers probably mean that the router believes that the values have gone negative but the variables are only expecting positive numbers. I'm not sure why the D/U Tx powers would go negative though. First try to switch off the router and then turn it on again after a few minutes to see if it is still reporting these huge values. If this doesn't fix the problem then maybe you could try to do a factory reset via the internal microswitch - just look in the manual for the router.
