So i noticed some shows like Suits, Covert Affairs are not on the Roku Hulu+ app but they are available on the website(need to watch on my computer). Has anyone found a work around this ? Viewing the episodes on tv.

The latest episodes of Suits and Covert Affairs are available to stream for free from Hulu (not Hulu Plus) only on PC. Apparently some of the current Hulu streaming content is going to be made available to android users later in the year (not sure if that includes Roku).

If you want to stream content like this on your TV you should consider an android media player with XBMC. I have just searched for those titles on my DroidTV MX and both shows are available from multiple sources. The simplest source is Show Box (see link) which has a Netflix type UI and lists 3 complete seasons of Suits as well as the latest 3 episodes of Season 4. It also lists 4 complete seasons of Covert Affairs as well as the first episode of Season 5. You can choose between 3 different quality levels, low, medium and high. Both of those series are also available using the ProjectFreeTV and 1Channel plug-ins for XBMC. There is also a Hulu plug-in for XBMC although I haven't explored this option.

I just checked now and Suits is available on Hulu Plus, not Hulu on my MacBook. However, it's not available on Hulu Plus on my Apple TV. The Apple TV is seen by Hulu as a mobile device.

I normally use my Mac Mini to playback certain content not available on my ATV. The Mac Mini is hooked up directly to my TV and it works quite well. I did try the Hulu plugin for XBMC on the Mac Mini a while back but couldn't get it to work.

@vinodh: Are you using the Hulu desktop software on your Macbook? I can't seem to find any episodes of Suits on Hulu Plus using a Chrome browser on a PC and just a single episode on Hulu. Apparently Hulu is now no longer developing the desktop software.

If I try to access S4 Eps 2 & 3 I get this message!
This video isn't available - yet.
Some videos - like this one - are not available to Hulu users immediately after broadcast. However, you may be able to watch today by connecting to your paid TV provider account.

i got the message too: but i did watch the first 2. I opted to download Suits: cant wait anymore

Yesterday, I went to Hulu.com using Safari, searched for Suits, found the latest episode and clicked play. Today, when I try the exact same thing, it only allows me to play episode 1 of Season 4. Episodes 2 and 3 are locked and give the same error message.

Only thing that changed in between was my modem being reset after a power failure. Which means Hulu picked up my new IP and gave me their awesome new feature. :(

Okay I am a bit confused(yeah I know its does not take alot LOL)
Is there a difference between Hulu and Hulu plus or is it the ssme thing?

I had a look and I can only see Suits season 2 on my web browser where I have Hulu installed.

Regards

@Acid0: Hulu is the free service (with advertising) for US residents and Hulu Plus (with advertising) is the paid service. If you are in the US you can just use a browser to visit www.hulu.com and you can view free of charge a much smaller selection of shows than Hulu Plus which costs around $8 per month. In SA you will still need to use a DNS service like Unotelly to access Hulu but you should be able to watch the same set of shows free of charge. Apparently some Hulu shows are going to be made available free of charge (with advertising) on android later this year. I had previously thought that everything on Hulu was available on the paid service Hulu Plus together with a lot of other content but clearly this is not always the case.

If you want to watch very recent shows free of charge (with advertising) on your PC, you should be able to stream directly from the big networks like CBS (www.cbs.com), ABC (www.abc.com), Fox (www.fox.com), NBC (www.nbc.com) etc. You will need to use a DNS service like Unotelly.

Thanks for the reply.

I am still new to these services so asking stupid questions will be asked :)

I have signed up for the hulu plus for I think $7.99.
The first week was for free and then it will start to charge you.
Unless they still have me on the free version but I can only see older season shows example is Arrow only have season 1 and Suits only season 2.
I do receive the adds every 10 minutes or so.

I am not sure if that is all that Hulu do show currently or am I still on the free service where they dont show all the new shows yet.

I am currently running Hola as my way to spoof the country issue for now, because I dont need to have something like Unotelly yet.

I will activate Unotelly as soon as I hook up the Apple tv to the bedrooms.

Is there an easy way to know if I get the full Hulu plus experience or not?
For instance what is the latest episode of a series that I can check if I have the paid version or not.

Regards

@Acid0: Logout of your Hulu Plus account and then go to www.hulu.com. Use the Search function and you should be able to see which shows are available on Hulu and which are on Hulu Plus. A search for Larry King should show 368 episodes on Hulu and 368 on Hulu Plus etc. I think the latest season of Dancing with the Stars is only available on Hulu Plus. The Hulu service can only be accessed by PC/HTPC devices and not android/mobile/settop boxes such as AppleTV, Roku's etc. This forces you to subscribe to Hulu Plus unless you have an HTPC connected to your TV.

Cool

I have confirmed with a friend that I am currently have Hulu plus activated.

Its just a pity that they are a bit behind on some series like Arrow.

But that's something I can live with.

Regards

no they are not. I have watched the whole season on hulu+, they would probably have the last 4 episodes, of which then your options will be to wait for Netflix to catch up or download them
