We get a fair amount of daily registrations on MyBroadband, and to avoid international spammers we use a question and answer human verification system. The question is based on something which most locals (South Africans) will know.
We started to do manual user verifications, and decided to switch off the human verification system to make it easier for people to register. The results were telling:
