Does anyone have experience with the Humble Till POS system? I'm opening a retail store and after doing some research Humble Till looks like an easy solution for someone who is inexperienced but I'm not 100% sure!

I'll take a look at it. We are looking for a decent POS app, though the upcoming Yoco app is a huge improvement.

My SO has been using Humble for little over a year now and no complaints, she’s very pleased with the system and support from Humble as well. The one thing that does give a problem once in a blue moon is the little printer, but thats usually cleared up quickly.

Humble Till offers a very slick total solution especially with all the hardware options they offer (Humble Shop). The app is currently broken on iPhone though. The R350pm sub is pricey and there is no card reader device.

Yoco on the other hand offer two card readers - the pro model has NFC / Tap and Go. The transaction fees are decent and there is a free business portal. On the plus side, no monthly subs. Negative is no hardware - but you can just get that from Humble e.g. iPad stand or cash drawer.

Then there is also Sure Swipe. Similar to Yoco, they offer a mobile card reader and cheaper monthly costs (R280pm, I think).

Edit: all have free POS apps. (Debatable where you must pay a monthly sub)

Hi My name is Christiaan Mienie, MD of Humbletill. Humbletill is a retail focused POS that will supplement your business. Humble is easy to use, easy to install and extremely reliable. It works on any platform and works offline too.
Please feel free to explore our site or give us an call at 010 100 3888 we have payment solutions available for you too.
Have a great day

Mmmm.. Someone has a google alert on their product setup. Reasonably impressive. :)

Just saw the dates.. Scratch that comment.

better late than never

One could argue that in this case, later isn't better than never. I feel like the MD could bother to check the dates. Or reach out to the poster directly with a PM, or at least a quote, so the OP could get some sort of notification. Also, no direct line to him/her so really the post doesn't achieve anything. Best case scenario is you can now PM the MD directly, but who's to say that he even checks or logs in again, ever.

Either which way, the OP likely made a decision ages ago..

Valid point, or perhaps they have done a restructuring and want to focus on their online profile (something they maybe did not consider in the past) and are now merely closing all the loops, past and present.

I will give them the benefit of a doubt that they intend to be active on here until proven otherwise.

Just my feeling.
