Hunter build

LOL

Have u seen how ugly Troll toes are? They look like 2 blood worms with one eye :D

Pleasure guy. Hunters gotta stick together ;D

Hehe you're HR over-capped and I'm struggling to keep my HR capped... Wanna swap some? =P

Weird, my scope is showing up fine... Oh well as long as you have the +40 Crit one on all is good ^_^

Gemming depends on what you need to fill up the gaps in your stats, especially when it comes to yellow slots. If you need to stabilise your HR then you can either go for the Rigid King's Amber (+20 HR) or Glinting Ametrine (+10 Agi & +10 HR), otherwise go for either Smooth King's Amber (+20 Crit) or Deady Ametrine (+10 Agi & +10 Crit).
Red sockets should almost always be filled with Delicate Cardinal Ruby (+20 Agi) unless you're going for a very high ArP MM build which would then mean Fractured Cardinal Ruby (+20 ArP) are the puppies you want.
Blue sockets are usually filled with Delicate Cardinal Ruby (+20 Agi) since you get more out of the extra Agi than what the socket bonus might offer... However! As a SV Hunter you have good old Hunter Vs. Wild which grants you AP equal to 30% of your stamina so in that case Shifting Dreadstone (+10 Agi & +15 Stam) are the ones you want in there ^_^

You've already got a good head start on your ArP so your MM set shouldn't take long to assemble.

I think Ill go with the Deady Ametrine (+10 Agi & +10 Crit) for now...

When I get a few more ArP Ill change to MM :D

With Pornolio doing 11k dps I am almost tempted to gear up my hunter again :D Still stuck in Nax 25 gear from beginning last year when I stopped raiding :( Think I still max out at 5k dps as survival...
My Arms warrior / Tank is doing pretty good though ;)

I also noticed now the totems gave me the much needed agility buff the DK's would have provided should they have been there.
Granted Patchwerk is a unique dps situation as its one of very few encounters where hunters can nuke uninterrupted. In any normal boss encounter there is movement involved and then you break the hunter dps rotations.

20 bucks says the rogue is mutilate lol.
I LOVE MY MUTILATE ROGUE!!!

Hmmfff.. those rogue mofo's keep tricks of the trade on themselves in a rotation. Bum chums looking out for each other.

Hunters still have a signficant advantage over the other ranged classes because of auto-shot. You are on auto-shot, so even doing dps while moving, as long as you are in range. When a mage or a warlock moves, their dps suffers significantly.

True :o

I can imagine how fun Marrowgar is as a hunter

NO.
Movement kills autoshot untill stationary again.
Dont confuse the issue pls.
Hunters suffer from movement loss just as much as mages, warlocks, or any other caster.

Arcane mages can keep up very respectable damage while moving (arcane barrage, fireblast, presence of mind ,and if all else fails icelance spam) and, depending on spec, so can a warlock with instant dots.

Wheunis is 100% correct. Moving/Jumping will reset the Auto Shot "Swing" timer and therefore Hunters can only DPS whilst moving using their instant cast spells just like other classes. The biggest thing about Hunter DPS is managing movement around Auto Shots to clip as few of them as possible and therefore maximise DPS.

Could have sworn that if I right-click a target from out of range and move towards it, i fire at it as soon as I am in range while still moving forward and my pet auto attackes as well(is on defensive).

Not trying to confuse the issue. Just stating what I observed with my hunter when I right-click from out of range and move forward. As soon as I get in range, my ranged weapon fires. Im pretty sure I'm still moving forward. I accept I may be wrong, it may just be the way the game is registering my forward motion and its just the first shot that will go off.
