I rolled another hunter didnt like troll much guild talbard and gear looks crap on him so i rolled a orc hunter to help a friend of mine lvl his waroir i know waroir is hard to solo.

Well asoon as this one dings lvl 30 ill delete troll.
Must say its relaxing to play hunter again.

Well i want this hunter to be a gold farmer so i thougth of going herbing and skining just wondering if it will pay off later any advise on this from other hunters welcome.

I know skins and herb dont sell good at start but i heard rumours they sell for alot at 70.

If you can recomend better trades for gold pls do :).
And mining is not a optoin its wothless at lvl 70 on my server.
I am on eu TH full server.

Enchanting pays !!!! (Only selling Disenchanted items)
But takes plenty of Gold invested in it to really make any money later.

Skinning is good money. on any lvl. I never needed money on my rogue with skinning. you skin everything you kill = Plenty leather = little gold per stack but it adds up in the end.

Mining is also alot of good money.

But a Hunter used for farming gold is those boths that farm primals and motes that is where the money lies
 
not much there i would either go for the following

Enachanting & Any gathering prof
or

JC and mining - Prospecting ftw

Never really make much from primals and motes maybe just farming in wrong places.
 
Primal Fire and Primal Fire! Goooood monies :p

I have herbalism and this makes for easy gold at lvl 70. Took me 3 days to skill it from 0 to 375 :D Flying mount FTW!
 
I think mining and JC is where the big money's at, people are always resocketing their gear and some of the blue gems on AH get really good prices (teardrop living ruby for eg, make us healers bleed lol)
 
Thing i was wondering about is there any hunter pets that have aoe agro abilities like locks void walker?
 
Ahh also wolf howl is a AOE ability for pets and keeps mobs on it. Wolf buffs its self and you = very low threat good all round. Gorilla with stomp = debuff good tanking pet. Owl/Bat with screech lowers enemy AP so debuffs them = high DPS pet.
 
Avoiding a rather negative comment, thanks for the update, its been over 15months since i used anything other than a cat/ravager...
 
Wolves are great for raiding, i use one most of the time just for the howl bonus. the best pets for raids are i think the rare spawns u can tame ... for instance Deathmaw from Burning steppes.. hes got a bit more power and armour to other wolves so with the right abilities can be a very good all round pet.
 
All hunter pets were normalized in patch 2.0.

All the rare spawns have same attack speed. Everything was evened out. Sucks... I remember Broken Tooth + ZG bats being insane with attack speed.

Also if you are talking raw DPS / damage figures, try the ravager :)
Cobra reflexes, avoidance rank 2, gore rank 9, bite rank 9 and Animal handler 2/2. Wolf howl is very very very focus intensive, and you end up seeing the wolf completely dry on focus most of the time during a fight. Granted the nice thing is, he boosts the damage of all members in your party slightly, and not just the hunter + pet himself.

As far as profs go, mining and JC seems the best for me. I have JC and Alc on my druid, Tailor and enchanting on my priest and tailor and mining on my lock.
 
It does also depend on which server you're on...

Lightbringer currently has a massive influx of primal prices

As a hunter its easy :) No down time + a quiet spot to farm = 6-10 primals an hour, with our current prices thats roughly 30g-40g x 8 (average) = 240-320g

a few months ago, Alchemy was the FOTM
 
I have herbalism on my shaman, and the money I get is insane, at least on my server. You have to know what herbs to farm though.

Also dirt easy to level, lots of nodes, and less competition compared to mining.
