Does someone know where i can get the Huntkey Titan 650 watt.... preferably to go pick up, cos its a bit of an emergancy....

Get something like Antec or Corsair that isn't going to blow up and take your entire PC with it. There is a very good reason that some power supply brands cost more than others.

BTW, HAF522? Where can I get one?

What is wrong with the Huntkey? I was planning on purchasing one tomorrow. Checked online for issues regarding it and can't find much.

Read those reviews now. The Huntkey Titan 650W was the decent one which delivered 700W at 80% efficiency and had a good review. Only thing really picked on was the price. However in SA it is much cheaper than other 650W PSUs. Apart from the Huntkey the cheapest 650W I can find is a Coolermaster for R900+. The Huntkey 450W and 550W Greenpower PSUs are the ones that exploded when pushed to the max.

Reasons not to buy Huntkey include explosions (nearly every Huntkey PSU tested by Hardware Secrets has exploded under full-load), over-rating their power-supplies (they also test their PSUs at lower temps than other manufacturers) and lastly the fact that they tried to bribe Hardware Secrets to cover up that fact that their PSUs are made with the perfect recipe for spontaneous computer combustion.

Corsair, Antec, OCZ, CoolerMaster, Vantec have good PSUs. Check reviews before you buy.

Huntkey is the devil :( . Ironically, if you look at what you're really getting at the end of the day when you buy Huntkey, they're actually very overpriced.

Edit:

HuntKey Titan 650W's Specifications:
MTBF > 50,000 Hours At 25⁰C

Corsair TX650W Specifications:
MTBF > 100,0000 Hours At 50⁰C

Perfect example of the kind of bullcrap that Huntkey is famous for. SaiyanZ, I'd really have to advise against the Huntkey vehemently. They rate their PSU specs at the same temps that they test their MTBFs, so even though on the sticker it'll say it's a 650W, it's an inflated figure when it comes to real-world use.

Also, for Huntkey's lack of business ethics alone I'd never buy them.

Conclusion

We were expecting to burn or explode this power supply but, hey, it survived to our load tests! So it isn’t as bad as we originally thought (and proved that not all Huntkey power supplies are a piece of you-know-what). We could really extract 700 W from it at 50º C, so at least its label isn’t a lie, especially when we think that this model is originally labeled as a 650 W by the original manufacturer (Huntkey).

However, power isn’t everything. Ripple and noise levels were far above we wanted to see, it doesn’t come with four video card cables, the video card cables don’t use 6/8-pin connectors and comes with just one year warranty (all power supplies from well-known manufacturers come with at least 3-year warranty in the United States). These flaws can’t be tolerated on a USD 165 product.

USD 165? Wait a minute… Are these guys crazy? We can buy a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad for less than that! Just to remember this PC Power & Cooling unit has far higher efficiency, lower noise level, a far higher maximum power, four video card cables and a five-year warranty.

Rocketfish 700 W would be a terrific product if it cost USD 70, tops. But at USD 165 it makes absolute no sense buying this unit.

It actually does cost around $70-$80 at the moment in SA so the price has basically halved since that review.

Fair enough. My last word in here would just be the reminder about the MTBF and the fact that the PSU has a 1-year warranty coupled with that. While it's good to see Huntkey is making some passable products, I'd still tread with caution.

But, I'll stop now :) . Thanks for posting the review!

Thanks for all the help guys.... this PSU is for a friend, he needs to run the following
2 x Radeon 5770's.
m4a79t-e MoBo
2 HardDrives (500g and 1tb)
AMDPhenom 965
and like 4 gigs of ddr3 ram

What power supply can i use then?

PC Int has it for sale. Price R1054.00. Its an awesome case. Just rather big and Heavy... but other than that, its awesome...

GO for a Corsai PSU, even the box it comes on is so well built and nice!
