Hurricane Michael: 'Monstrous' storm strengthens to category three

The storm is expected to make landfall on Wednesday. Florida Governor Rick Scott has warned residents to evacuate.
Alabama, Florida and Georgia have declared states of emergency in all or parts of the states.
At least 13 people have reportedly died in Central America due to the storm.
Governor Scott called for coastal residents to evacuate, saying: "It could be the difference between life and death."
Alabama is under a state-wide state of emergency ahead of the hurricane, along with 92 counties in southern Georgia and 35 counties in Florida.

Hurricane Michael: 'Monstrous' storm set to hit Florida

Hurricane Michael has been upgraded to an "extremely dangerous" category 4 storm, hours before it is due to make landfall in Florida.
The storm has sustained winds of 130mph (210km/h) and is due to make landfall at about midday (16:00 GMT).
More than 370,000 people in Florida have been ordered to evacuate and move to higher ground.
At least 13 people reportedly died in Central America over the weekend as a result of storm rains and floods.
Florida has declared a state of emergency, as have Alabama and Georgia.

Unlike the last hurricane to make landfall (Florence in North Carolina), Michael is faster moving, so most of the damage will be from wind and storm surge, not rainfall. These effects will rapidly decline as it moves further inland, and there are no major cities in the immediate track.

P.S. Tallahassee (population 200,000) is in the direct track, but is not near the coast.

A few furries I chat to on Telegram are affected by this storm... not a pleasant experience they are having.

Share some of the links to those live webcams if you find any interesting ones.

Feel free to share if you can find any in the Tally area :)

Will post links to live webcams if I find any during the day, most will go down once the hurricane made landfall, 90% of the time they do.

Think Tallahassee will be spared, probably some rain and moderate winds. Below areas will probably have it the worse, coastal areas will have the damaging winds and potential flooding, inland probably just loads of rainfall in a short amount of time, it's quite a fast moving system. That being said, the path of the system can still change and thus Tally can still be hit badly.
