Huwaei k3770 keeps on disconnecting

I have 3x of these Huawei K3770 USB modems. used on 1x Win XP and 2x Win 7

On the one Win 7 machine the modem keeps on disconnecting. The problem is Win 7 because if I swop modems the problem remains on the computer.

I have completely uninstalled it and re-installed it but the problem remains the same.

It is not even that it is due to inactivity, while I am busy working it just disconnects.

Any idea where I can change a setting to fix this?

Only one Win7 computer is disconnecting. In the same location?. It could be a virus, a driver stack or hardware problem, cause drivers cannot keep up. But most probably USB ports are not giving sufficient power to the modem. If your signal is weak this problem accelerate, as modem needs more power. Try to pluging modem to the self-powered USB 2.0 hub, it might help.
