hello

anyone here used a type of hydrovac before?

I am looking for a type of vaccuum cleaner that traps most of the dust through water filtration.

I have only seen the verimark genesis in action and wasn't overly impressed.

I found the following to be a problem and should apply to other vacs also.
Water level too low (gets muddy quickly and doesn't trap all dirt)
Has to be emptied regularly
Basin needs washing after every use or else it starts to stink
Costs 1500

Arent there any other brands available?
Verimark has never been my favourite

we have a Karcher Ds5600...works great. If you looking at that genesis hydrovac rather consider the TEVO version...at least it has a HEPA filter for the expelled air.

damn that DS5600 looks a lot more solid than the verimark hydrovac.

Would you mind if I asked what you paid for yours?

If you are looking for quality that will last you a very long time, buy a Rainbow vacuum. They are very expensive though.

have you seen one in action yet?
Do you know anyone who has owned one.

Yes, we own one that we actually bought second hand. It's the type of thing that you buy once and it will last you a hell of a long time. We have had to replace a part or two and mend the hose at a repair place but it's just from wear and tear after 20 years or so.

As with Flowerhat we are also in the market for something decent, but good value for money. Anyone had a BENNETT READ Hydro Compact Filtration Vacuum Cleaner? At Makro for R1599. Would appreciate comments on quality / performance.

Actually if you want quality and reliability for decades, go for a Vorwerk. Have one at home that I inherited from my gran, who bought it in the 70s. Still works like it did on day 1...

+1 my mom bought hers new over 20 years ago and stil going strong just parts are crap expensive looking for a basin

I own that little red one from Verimark that I (and by I mean my maid or mother when she comes for a visit) use every week. Works great for me. But I don't really know all that much about these things: switch on, point at dirt, dirt (or most of it) disappears.

hi guys anyone knows who repairs genisis vacum cleaners? i need a new power button
