Hyper Threading

Hi Everyone.
I hope this has not been dealt with before, I have searched the forum but did not find what I am looking for.

I have an Albratron PX915P/G Pro Mother board, socket 775. With 3Gig P4.

It has HT and I want to know if the pc will run at its best with or without HT?

If you've XP or above, yes it will run better with HT enabled, it's sort of low tech dual core, if you want to call it that

We've got a P4 3.2 with HT and it performs much better with it enabled. Check your motherboard manual however, if you ever want to flash your BIOS or anything, you might need to disable HT to be successful, at least that's on our mobo

Usually best with HT, especially if you are running programs with multiple threads.

Thanks guys this is my surfing pc so we normally have many sites open at the same time.. Ha ha, I dont know why one site at a time is never good enough!
