Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the all-electric INSTER, a new A-segment sub-compact EV offering unique design, segment-leading driving range and versatility, and advanced technology at the 2024 Busan International Mobility Show.
INSTER's bold design combines a futuristic, innovative image with a spacious interior in a small SUV body. With a sophisticated technology package that helps deliver safe, refined driving, INSTER offers fast charging and the best all-electric range (AER) in its segment, at up to 355 km.

Budget-friendly Hyundai Casper spotted in rugged XRT trim
Hyundai is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with a rugged variant of its budget-friendly Casper EV, dubbed the XRT. This new trim, spotted recently in South Korea, adds a touch of off-road styling to the popular city car.
The Casper EV, which debuted in June at the Busan International Mobility Show, got a lot of attention for its compact yet functional design and affordable price point. Starting at just €20,500 (or as low as €13,100 with government incentives in South Korea), it stands a good chance to make electric mobility accessible to a wider audience.
Despite its small size, the Casper EV promises a decent range of up to 315 km thanks to its 49 kWh battery. It's smaller than the Chevy Bolt EV, measuring 3,825 mm in length, and Hyundai positions it as the ideal companion for urban driving.
The upcoming XRT variant, as seen in the video, features a redesigned front bumper with a more rugged look. While the headlights and turn signals remain unchanged, the overall impression is one of a more adventurous vehicle.

Hyundai Inster European price finally revealed
Hyundai announced the Inster for Europe as a rebranded Korean Casper back in June, giving us a bunch of details about the car including its range and powertrain versions, but not the price.
That changes today. Hyundai UK has revealed that the cheapest Inster will start at €27,932. This is called Inster 01 and comes with a 42 kWh battery and 97PS motor. It's got 15" alloy wheels, a 10.25" digital instrument cluster, another 10.25" infotainment screen, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, rear parking sensors, smart cruise control, automatic headlights, and a smart key with keyless entry.
The Inster 01 will also be available with the 49 kWh battery and 115PS motor, for an increased price that unfortunately isn't outed.
The other option is the €31,795 Inster 02, which, alongside the bigger battery and more powerful motor, adds 17" alloy wheels, front parking sensors, LED projection headlamps and LED rear lights, privacy glass, roof rails, steering wheel lights, ambient lighting with 64 colors, fold flat front seats and sliding rear bench, heated front seats and steering wheel, automatically dimming rear view mirror, and a wireless charging pad.

If, like most, you’re addicted to videos of sassy Labrador puppies fluent in disobedience, we reckon you’ll quite like this: the Hyundai Inster Cross. It’s like a Hyundai Inster but with more sass. And a sunbed up top for cheeky floofs to recharge.
There are thicker front and rear bumpers, reinforced with new skid plates and rocker panels, and a more robust-looking set of 17in alloys. You'll get a choice of up to five two-tone paints too, but nothing replicating the exact colour of a glass of puppuccino. C’mon, Hyundai.
By contrast, the interior gets only one significant change: grey cloth and lime yellow accents - the latter being prominently used across the dashboard. Unchanged bits include a pair of 10.25in screens, a multifunction steering wheel and up to 280 litres of boot space to share between the four occupants.
Likewise, no changes have been made to the mechanicals, so you’ll still get a choice of two single-motor electric powertrains. The first is the entry-level 96bhp with a 42kWh battery good for a claimed 186 miles of range. Alternatively, the Long-Range version bumps these figures up to 113bhp and 221 miles respectively.

Hyundai announced a new version of its city-friendly car Inster, and it's called Inster Cross. As the name suggests, the vehicle is a crossover model suitable not only for the city, but for your outdoor adventures as well.
Essentially, the Inster Cross features the same battery and drivetrain configurations as its standard sibling. However, the Cross comes with a few add-ons, most of which are standard for the model.
The Cross is fitted with wide, rectangular front and rear bumpers, front and rear skid plates and side rocker panels. The EV also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels for extra protection in rough terrain. The roof racks will also be standard, but you can add a roof basket for extra luggage room.
