Hyundai Plasma TV?

Guys - there is no Telefunken brand as we knew it in the '70's 80's - German owners sold the company and the name was bought bu Nu World , it is just stuck onto whatever panels they can get.

I had a Logik LCD from GAME. When the input board packed up , I bought a replacement board from "Telefunken" - the proof is in the pudding...

congrats. plasma is the way to go.. just be careful of leaving the game paused for too long. dont want screen burn

Sure...
I called Telefunken some time back to find that out.
They are licensed to Nu-World. Nu-World does not manufacture though, they import their TVs. Most probably from Asia somewhere.

But honestly, who gives a rats @ss, the Plasma for the price, and being FULL HD. Worth it.

Hey all I ended up buying the Hyundai Plasma and I am very happy with it!

are you having a burn in issues?

also bought the hyundai from direct deals and only got it less than a month but a dstv channel logo seems to be burning the screen and that channel has prob only been watched less than 20 hours the whole time :-(

any suggestions?

It's not burn in. Initially it is the charged pixels, that are retaining the charge, leaving an imprint on the screen. This is reffered to Image retention. There might be a menu called Screen Wipe or Scroll. This wipes the charged particles. If not, then change the feed before you go off to bed to something that doesn't have static images/logo's. This should clear the logo. It's not entirely the time displayed which results in image retention, but a combination of time and the brightness of the logo and it's transclucency (?). SABC 3 is my pet hate. Why it has to be so big only they know. Should take about 5 to 10 minutes to clear it all or at least most of it. Don't worry too much about it, unless you are using your Plasma like an airport monitor.

Nah, I'm looking for their distributor, not their dealers. The distributor sells the stuff to the resellers. Well, I guess I'll just start a new thread.
