hello all

looking at replacing the wifes jazz

was looking at the hyundai creta

but then i came across a few +-2019 haval H2s i think it is

way cheaper also

hows the havals in terms of maintenance, resale and service costs

Hyundai/Kias are solid. They tend to give some power steering issues later on but if you pick up on it early enough its not too bad. Mine had this and the power steering shop said its extremely common.

Haval: Crystal ball. Only certainty is heavy fuel consumption.

Stay away from Haval for now. Go KIA or Hyundia is my advice.

for a newer car fuel consumption should be good

i mean my wifes jazz which is a 2006 1.4 NA engine and can still get 6.5l/100km in local driving

reason being ?

Too many bad experiences from relatives and friends with their Havals, more than 5 so far. Sensor issues, power steering, Injector issues, fuel consumption being heavy, semi-expensive spares etc

Any particular reason you're not going with Honda again?

cant find a smaller SUV for the right price

hondas are gone expensive

this one gave us a good 10 years but few months back engine seized without warning, no other issues so very good car though

but obviously looking for something newer better and more bells and whistles

might be the issue though cos the lesser the better with cars

I've got a 2019 Hyundai Tucson 2.0 diesel and I'm very happy with it. I easily get 7.0l/100km consumption when running in Eco mode.
