Is it just me or is this a really beautiful big car? Wonder if it will come to SA unlike other beautiful big cars from Rüsselsheim that are only found through out Europe. It should slot in right below the Sonata (i45).

Looks muuuch better in white. The blue looks awkward. It seems like the cars bum is hanging off and for some reason...reminds me of a birds beak.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so of course it is IMO.

I like big wagons like the C class, A4 and the Accord. This looks even better than all 3 and I am sure it will be R100k less than either, won't be quite as premium though.

The butt looks overbearing IMO too. It reminds of the way the KIA Rio's rear also looked unbalanced. Otherwise, not too shabby looking. I'd rate it a 7/10

Now that you mention it, the rear does feel a little "Signum-ish"... something that did not go down that well for their fellow car maker in Rüsselsheim :

The i40 is good looking, but that Opel looks like a rip off of the A3 Audi.

Having said that, all new cars look the same these days.

I've always liked wagons (I'm weird that way :p ) and I really do think this is quite a handsome car :)

South Africa is a very bad market when it comes to any kind of estate though, but they sell like hot-cakes in Europe! I can't remember where I read it, but Hyundai said that its "unlikely" to bring it here.

Pity

Good observation :

Although the Signum and A3 [-]Sportsback[/-] StationWagonBack both came out at the same time in 2003. In all honesty the Signum was a bit of a fail really. I loved when Clarkson reviewed it and tried to drive it from the back seat using a hoe, a shovel and piece of string.

If you were the 2nd to reply then you may have been right, but now it seems you are wrong cause quite a few others also like it.
