'I am a non-voting Atheist'

What a dumbass. He doesn't like the political system, so instead of contributing towards change, he chooses to not to vote (in other words, he chooses to ignore the bad things he sees, rather than contribute towards changing it). He's so freaking naive.

Didn't read the rest of his little rant, because if he can't get that basic concept right, then I doubt any of his other points are even vaguely on the right path.

As idiotic as this "atheist" is, his point, or more like Plato's, on emotions swaying the peoples opinion in a democratic country I agree with. However, not voting is simply retarded.

I know, it's outright atheist blasphemy. Nice thing about believing in God is no matter how things go, you can always thank him or blame him. Atheists on the other hand, have nobody to blame or thank but themselves :love:

I mentioned that according to some people, or by some standards, I will be and I am classed as an Atheist. Strange, because I believe I am in fact a very religious and spiritual person. I do believe in a "Maker", or "God", or "Higher Being", but because I decided from a very early age in my life that I will not associate that belief with a known, or established structure or religion; I am an Atheist. A case of if you are not with us, you are against us type of thing.

So you are saying because I don't waste my time in a futile exercise I am worthy of being shot?

I pay my taxes (I believe I am taxed almost to death)
I contribute to society
I work hard to provide for my family

And now because I choose to spend my time wisely and not waste it on a pointless exercise, knowing we have a totalitarian government who does as it wishes, in place, I am now deserving of death.

Evil can only happen when good men do nothing. If you dont want to live in a democracy move to China. Democracy is a privilege, not a right. You dont use it, you lose it. By not voting you are basically saying "**** you all I dont care what happens to you or my country".

Because they don't contribute to the change that is necessary in this country. They are too lazy and useless to lift their asses for one day every few years to at least try and make a difference. Paying taxes isnt voluntary, voting is :rolleyes:
