I am furious!

I'm sorry, but having a company representative responding to the guy's complaint with "What's your question?" rather than "Sir, sorry to hear about your problem. This is a genuine mistake by one of our shops. Please PM me your sim number and I'll see what I can do to fix the problem for you.", is, as I said, material. Yes ranting is annoying I agree, but seeing a response like that just takes the cake. You guys might be tired of the ranting, but switching to ignorant mode isn't going to bring down the price we pay for internet in this country - complaints will certainly contribute. After all, bringing down the cost and improving the service of telecommunications is one of the primary goals of MyBB, correct? Let the complaints FLOW!! I'd rather have no support than "I'm doing you a favour, address me properly" half-hearted support.

See below. I think gigo applies well with most users. Im not even going to waste my time "debating" because people like these don't listen and go in with a bad attitude in from the word go.

Hi Fashionaddict. Please can you PM either me or VodacomData your number, or both of us, as they say, two is better than one....so that we can perhaps have a look for you and see what is going on?

I have PM'ed you Fasionaddict. Please respond.

Am waiting for a response as well.

Oc, was this on a contract before ?

Thanks
VCD

I have checked the prepaid number he supplied....all looks good on that one. Checked the account number he supplied and it is the cell number linked to that that is pre-legal. I explained to him in the PM why it is pre-legal.

See what I mean? No response from him.

ps. Who will keep coming back to a forum to read company bashing all the time? I know i won't. And it's not only in the VC section, its in ALL of them. Approach someone with a smile or at least some decent way, and you'll be amazed what that person would do for you.

@Jono: Nope, no excuse IMHO: the company (and its representatives) should always return a smile, despite whether they think the complaining customer can be "classed" as "These people do not listen and go in with a bad attitude in from the word go". Two wrongs won't make a right - responding negatively will only induce MORE anger/frustration in the customer, and also (because it's being done on a public forum) contribute negativity towards the company's image. Service should not only be provided to those who approach with an angry attitude, but it should even be PRIORITIZED for those customers!

I deal with customer every single day, and when someone comes to me with some bad attitude, I make it clear to them that taking it out on the ONE person wanting to help them wont make it any better for them. And guess what? They smile again in no time. I've had dealings where I had a lot more problems than a simple contract and I still managed to be kind. What kind of person are you if you think that you have the right to treat a total stranger poorly just because you are a customer? Being a customer doesnt give you the right to be a complete tool. Yes he could have been approached in a proper manner, but he could have asked help on this forum in a proper way and not just jump straight on and throw a little fit.

People lose their cool way too easily and hide behind forums, but when you call them they go all soft and apologetic. I say again, gigo (garbage in, garbage out). And no one would or could change that for me because I have tried both ways about things.
