I cant come into contact with HDD's!

Okay here is my prob:
- I had an external HDD that broke... opened it up and it looked like a magnet had rubbed itself all over it
- I had an external HDD/ media play and the exact same thing happened to it
- I had a 40GB HDD that was working fine in my PC until I touched it and now nothing from
it

Am I overly magnetic or something, or am I just really unlucky?

I used to have a friend like that... he was a walking static nightmare. He would walk into a room and all the computers would reboot. He finally bought himself a computer... has endless problems with it. I think he is earth's third magnetic pole.

PS; Any one know any fix method for broken HDDs?

1. Knock 1 x copper pole through floor.
2. Strap self to copper pole.



No seriously, I think it sounds like you need a new HDD. Is your PC/HDD's located near a large magnet such as a subwoofer or a microwave?
