I really hope someone here has this recipe.

When my brothers ex was still around, every now and then when we had a braai she would make this really good bread.

I'm not sure of its name or origin but I do know it had condensed milk and caramel sugar added to it. Was then cooked in an oven (it could have been cooked over the fire, but I'm pretty sure was the oven).

If anyone has this recipe, I would be forever in your debt (a little dramatic? perhaps. But this bread is worth it) :D

Edit: There was also rolling of the dough into balls before being placed in the dish to bake.

Can't you phone up the ex and ask her what the recipe is?

Are things really that sour between your family and her?

Sorry ... that was a joke ... I'm slightly drunk ... I won't do it again.

Things didn't end very well. In fact it got to the point where she actually become quite aggressive....we had to hide the broomsticks for a while, they were always mysteriously within her reach. Brother sure knows how to pick them....

Eish that sounds like one of those family recipes that only they know. Good luck finding it again.

:D Hilarious, I actually had a good giggle at your comment :)

I was too afraid to ask, she might have defended it with a broomstick.

You should send her a Christmas card in the form of a bumper sticker. It should say:

My other vehicle is a broom.

I can sort of relate.

My brother's ex was a pleasant enough girl initially but she showed her true colours eventually.

Slightly drunk, but highly irritating...as usual.

Logged onto myBB late at night...like every night...poor fellow.

Heehee :D The best part is, she would most likely take it and thank me too...... about as sharp as a bowling ball that one.

The exact same with this one. We actually got lucky, he was two weeks from proposing....dodged a bullet on that one.

I've missed something..........

I think I have too ... I don't have a clue where this guy is coming from.

I get it that my humour might be slightly annoying if it was forcefully thrust into your face all day long.

Fortunately it isn't.

You humor amuses me, feel free to continue :D

Back to the recipe. We call it sweetbread, made with store-bought dough, drench with condensed/evaporated milk & brown sugar mix before baking in the oven. That's all I got :)
