I'm not into PC gaming, I spend most of my weekends reading, doing house chores, grocery shopping and/or watching movies on dvd. I guess the reason I don't have friends is because I don't relate to other guys my age. To be honest, the fact that I don't have friends doesn't bother me that much (I mean it would be nice to have someone I can can visit to watch a game of soccer for example), but it's just that I'm tired of people saying I'm weird or something because I don't have friends, my ex girlfriend said it too many times and that contributed to our break up.

Friends or real friends... I know a few people that have a lot of people around them but no real friends.
In a way it is fairly normal, when you leave school it is harder to make friends unless you go to varsity or work in a very social environment. Are you happy though ? That is all that is imortant.

If you like reading join a book club.
Go to your local pub (alone if need be) and go watch the soccer, this will be a nice break from being by yourself and you will chat a bit to someone even if it is just for 3 mins.

If you don't meet people through family or hobbies, then you should find something that interests you (preferably non-destructive!). Find places where you can pursue this and start going there regularly. This usually leads to making contact with people sharing your interest, whom you can relate to.
Of course, the above does require you to actually have a need to make friends first!

I met my ex online and no I don't go out. I used to go out a lot at varsity but after graduating I decided to sort of get rid of the friends I had during varsity because they were a bad influence. I used to drink a lot but never smoked. I didn't fit in and so after varsity I decided to not be friends with the friends I had then.
I love my own privacy, so having a time for myself most of the time is very inportant to me, but at the same time I do feel the need from time to time to hang out with someone. I have nothing against friendships.
mmmmm, Dr Devill says go out and go join a club or do speed dating or do something to get back in the loop of things....you dont have to meet your new best friend or soul mate here just get back on social level.
