I don't like loot.co.za

Gary runs a tight ship.

I've used Loot in the past and will definitely use them in the future.

I've had no problems - but on the odd occasion they couldn't source my item then they've always let me know AND provided me with a discount voucher for my next purchase.

Unlike Takealot who just tell you to go and get f'd...

Takealot gave me a voucher the other day when they screwed up, however I had to asked them how they are planning on compensating me, I had to ask but got a voucher.....;)

The thing is, it's likely an out of stock issue, NO ONE can tell me exactly what is going on stock wise. This was for an order on the 3rd of December they had 7 working days to figure out stock isn't coming. They promise feedback and not ONCE had they actually replied back out of there own freewill. I had to request feedback every time, same applies to takealot they are useless with providing feedback.

It's definitely not on if you don't even know if stock is coming or not, it's more likely an issue with the person behind the keyboard. It's really not difficult, you pick up the phone, call the supplier and ask did you send this item ? You have your answer and revert back to the client, 5 minutes later the end. These generic carp PR answer annoys me, be straight and honest I am far more forgiving if you play ball, would likely support your store again.

Just don't reply with "don't know", or some BS answer out of a PR manual.Besides I haven't contacted them via media channels since yesterday and just going to let it go and see how long after shipping had to take place they contact me....

You should try giving them a call

Does Loot send out SMS notification for delivery on the day like Takealot does?

55 minutes before they close for the day they finally replied. Now I basically have to wait till tomorrow afternoon at 4PM before I get answer again, at this rate it will be sorted on Friday. :D

Sent them an email to cancel the order, apparently they have no idea if and when stock will arrive maybe on time or delayed, I will not be available for some time from next week, so meh.

Unfortunately for loot I am not willing to make use of their services if the order requires getting it from the suppliers first.

The good news, takealot delivery didn't materialize either.........lol :p

So loot is good and sorted with a refund and all, thanks loot for that. ;)

However now I have to deal with the takealot, as for some or other reason, delivery which normally takes 3 days to do has turned into 6 days delivery expected delivery is now the 18th of December additionally their system shows out for delivery since Yesterday, additionally the order has been at their branch since Monday. My exact words were for all that is holy do you grasp the concept of what "out for delivery" means, why is only going to be delivered on the 18th Monday when it has been sitting at branch level since Monday. I will not be here, from Sunday.

Damn if you do, damn if you don't I give up......

Relax. Go on Holiday.

I am going to enjoy it, emailed takealot got the tracking number, sent a mail to fdex HQ 30minutes later a call from the courier, they weren't going to deliver as they were running late after 5pm basically same story yesterday ran late and didn't deliver. So fdex HQ had a chat with them, 5:30 ish delivery made.

Takealot's tracking system is up to carp, they use to provide the tracking number, in future I will get the tracking number in advance if they pull any carp I will know about it simply email to fedx HQ and job done, relying on takealot to sort it out is looking for trouble as they NEVER revert back unless you pester them.

At least for a change I have a 100% working tablet.Definitely will give loot another try, but in stock items only and see how it goes, it would depend on what courier is used, most often the 3rd party is a private entity DHL, uses ram they are pretty snappy.

Fdex pending how busy they are normally do it, but they do offload to 3rd parties from time to time and they are useless, like in this case, and the previous return that had to be collected.

Unlike big cities, rural or regional is rife with stuff ups....
