Well, i'm sitting reasonably cumfy on my chair and i feel like a flash, but i need help/advice.

Every 6 months or so i get this urge to do such a thing but i never manage to pull it off. So now i'm asking for help.

OK, my mobo bios is dated sometime in 2002, but i dont have a useable floopy drive. So floopy is not an option for anything here. What about a bootable CD, OK, thats an option, but would like to know if any you guys tried this before, and what prog use use to create bootable CD for bios flashijng?

Also, what other things can i flash - graphics card?, and whats the story with my celeron 1.5, can i flash that, or is that only something that is overclockable.

I like to keep everything reasonably updated, but flashing has been the one area that has not been because floopy aint an option.

lol, dunno, thats why i ask.

lol.

......obviously not then.

So what about graphics card?

just flashed my mobo ... its easy and painless ... ive got an msi board .. if you an msi board, you can do it all online now ...

No, he said he flashed it online and he was telling the truth. With MSI boards you can now flash your motherboard BIOS (even a lot of older ones) over the net...

Or do you somehow go online through stiffy drives? :p

Intel motherboards, and am im sure many others can use a program that runs through windows. Did this myself last week, easiest thing in the world, just make sure the power doesn't go out mid-flash

sure, but u need a floopy.

It depends which motherboard you have. the newer asus boards have ezflash were you just use a flashdrive and then select the ezflash option from the bios and flash it.

Yes but many of these windows based programs have caused issues. Go and read around the asus forums a lot of guys doing that have had to rma their boards. Dos or ezflash is recommended if you have an asus board.
