A Forty-nine-year-old pastor of a Newcastle church yesterday pleaded guilty in the Pietermaritzburg High Court to six counts of rape .

Michael Hlongwa, who has two previous convictions for indecent assault, pleaded guilty to the rape of six young boys aged between nine and 12 years.

This saddens and angers me at the same time.

No it doesn't. Well he was likely married while being gay or bisexual, or there is no reason (besides for his beliefs) that he could have simply hired the gigelo. Phenom is basically saying the pressure of the church is what made him do it, i can understand if they stop you marrying or dating but he was married. So it is not like he was frustrated sexually due to the church.

I am not trying to justify what he did either.

Completly irrelavant to the subject; the crime done here may not have been in the same context as the one you've just described, as the motive of the crime may have been different. The motive here would likely have been out of lust and desperation, and the thing which has set him up for this is...

Here the priest could not have gone to a gigolo or have rather married the guy he always wanted to marry, so now he is pressured to do(yes, it's still a crime) this to the child.
