I hacked you...

Most people wont even realize if their account has been used by someone else, so what educational purpose does it have? The people that havent changed their router passwords sure as heck wont know what happened, so they wont "learn a lesson". Send them a mail, and tell them to contact their ISP if they dont know how to fix it, or if they dont trust the email.
 
Theres this big nigerian thing going on at the moment, kinda a fraud/theft cartel.

What they are doing is the same thing this chap did, they then go sell the logins to another group. This group then uses the bandwidth in their dodgy internet cafes to allow people to use voip to phone their home countries, like Nigeria, Uganda, Pakistaan etc (basicaly every 3rd world country you can think of)

SAIX and the police are monitoring and investigating this, and I highly recommend anyone who has bandwidth theft or illegal router logins to contact the relevant authorities. Would be nice if someone could get a rep from SAIX who is dealing with these cases, and post that persons contact details.

None. Looks just like a big attention-seeking thing. Could have been approached much more maturely.
 
i can't believe it took the dsl community this long to figure it out. this has been going on for ages.

no one would do this if telkom just stopped f*cking charging an arm and a leg for bandwidth.

telkom should add 'promoting fraud' to there mission statement.

lol, hacking DSL accounts is lame. I am sick of forking out thousands in rand because I am a irresponsible child...... ABUSE.... but when people begin to use my account without my permission.... Buddy YOU are going to DIE
 
unfortunately most people on that list most likely do not visit this site. since the whole router change pwd thing as been mentioned before.
 
What are the legal implications of doing something like this?
