I hate not being able to find stuff!

I usually have a place for things and 95% of the time the stuff is where it should be. Yesterday I dug out a camcorder tape with skydiving footage on it and I wanted to upload it to my PC today.
So I find the camcorder & charger but I cannot find my Firewire cable to do the transfers and I know that cable was in my one drawer as I only have one and don't wan't to misplace it.

Now it's gone and I wan't to start throwing things! :mad:

Okay I must have missed the RANT & RAVE part of this forum :p so glad I found it NOW :D
 
I used to be exactly the same ponder. Easy way to remedy this is to actually just pay attention to what you are doing. Instead of just putting your keys on the kitchen counter (or whatever), actually take 2 seconds, look at your keys, look at the counter, and mentally tell yourself "I am putting my car keys on the kitchen counter".

It feels dof doing it in the beginning, but after a while it becomes second nature, and it really works well.

I would post more, but I need to go look for my office keys I put somewhere ;-)

I try to do that but I still forget sometimes haha.
 
...and then when you get it you forgot wtf you wanted to do with it, have a snack, and call it a night... LOL!

Thing is I'm not like that at all, everything has a place and I know where stuff is hence me getting mal. I have probably only used this cable 3 times in the last 8 years and I keep it in my bottom right drawer with some other cables and stuff (and I've seen it there many a time) but today it's just gone and I have not used it since I last saw it there. I 'll have to look in some other places as I could have moved it somewhere else by mistake with some USB cables etc when I did a clean up about a year ago.
 
ive recenetly realised that i cant for the life of me find my university degree. its not where i thought i put it. im freaking out.
 
Currently cannot find my ID book... thought it was in my briefcase. Not. Searched house. Nope. Now having a sundowner and hopefully that will jog my memory!

apple is evil. think twice before you buy apple products again, you never get what you want from them.
 
I also hate not being able to find things, one of those things are my pokemon cards which are worth a lot.

I have searched the whole house everywhere and can't see them anywhere so much for hoping to cash them in so I can buy stuff :p.

Theres whole lot of other things I can't find anywhere and I know I put them somewhere special that I can remember lol, obviously didn't.

You sound like a mate of mine, puts stuff in a special place never to find it again :D
 
my memory sucks and I always forget where things are. When my daughter was a baby we could ask her to find anything in the house but now that she is a teenager we don't see her as she is in her room most of the time.
 
a couple of years ago I remember holding a thermometer in my hand and saying I've got to put this in a safe place...haven't found it yet
