Just found out that a clever turd at the Telkom Call Centre closed the call I'd logged for a home line installation. So, after 30 months of waiting (!) I need to start all over again.

Don't really mind, except that the B!TCH at the call centre cut the call when I questioned why she couldn't just copy the call records from the old call. DIE IN HELL. BURN TELKOM!! F*CKTARDS!!

And what I find really interesting, is that people whine and moan about Neotel, but so far, all I've had is polite, fast service on my Neoflex Data contract. So, it makes me wonder whether most of the Neotel detractors are really Telkom trolls?
 
dam ok then and we had a new line done with it been adsl enabled in about 6 hours called in the morning and that night I was up and running with an uncapped line how amazing is that

Same thing happened to me, I ordered a telephone line 36 months ago, and after three years of hearing "we are getting there...", someone phoned me to say that they cannot give me a telephone line, I must get WiMax. Phuckerzzz!!!!
 
I have no problems with Amobia.com and sometimes, when I feel rich, I use Vodacom HSPA - but only for short periods of time because its so expencive.

But telkom does suck and anyone wanting to do business with them should feel the pain.

I can't get Telkom or Neotel. The only option I have is HSDPA which I have been using for the last 3 years. Thank goodness I have that, otherwise I would have been completely screwed. I will just have to live with my tiny 2GB a month. :(

Call 0800 600 126 and complain in a nice way without being rude & emotional. If that still does not get you anywhwere ask for the CEOs number.

I used that number once before and was satisfied with the response I got.
 
It's because that number routes you to the Escalation Centre hosted in the Friendly City !!!

I called the number, selected the option for customer service and I got the following response, "This number has been discontinued, please contact 102..."

not in a remote area - noordwyk in midrand.

same story - "we're coming...." and then nothing. oh well, guess there's no point in complaining, it's not like they're going to do anything about it.

it's just really frustrating :D

hopefully, the amount of fibre being rolled out by non-Telkom companies will help break this last mile dependency. can't wait!
