One such instance is a TelkomInternet end-user using 296GB, in September, effectively 97 times more than what she paid for,” Letlape says.

There are many creative ways of preventing abuse, if one may call it that, but just under 300GB is, and we all *know*, mostly illegal content (dont every *try* the linux and streaming radio/tv line, Ive heard it all trust me). But for R300 it definitely is a lot cheaper than going to the flea market and buying 450 CD's worth of pirated TV shows, and crap you used to watch when you were younger like Robotech and Lucky Luke.
Paying per GB over the cap isnt a bad idea per se, but paying over R60 per GB most definitely is, but in cases where the people download like rabid salivating dogs all day every day it should be R600 per GB as they are purely wasting bandwidth and technology, and more likely than not downloading crap they will watch once and burn onto a CD which will gather dust in the CD collection cupboard.

Hmmm, no, not really if you pay for 3 gig international and unlimited local then thats not 97 times more then what she paid for.. IT IS WHAT SHE PAID FOR!!!
BTTB said:Even the fact that they say they are going to Cap local makes no sense as this goes against everything they have stated before that Local is plentiful and cheap. More stories I imagine.
SuperAntMD said:They have to cap local, since they cannot differentiate between the two as easily as we would imagine it seems, also coupled with the fact that they cache most international anyway effectively make it local they've found themselves in a pickle I would say.
