dude i have windows and it runs great like over 200 million other ppl

something you not doing right

Sounds more like a user problem to me :p

Could you be more specific though, maybe someone here can help you out :)

Windows gets old and sick. Then you have to euthanase it and bring a fresh new install into the world. There's just no getting around it.

Never had a problem with Windows since 3.1 days ... some people are just not fit to operate a PC ... it is not as if it is a washing machine or DVD player now is it ???.

Sounds like a good time for you to buy a Mac Mini

Funny how I stuggled with windows and am proving more sucessfull with Ubuntu ...

I really recomend trying it out if you have a bit of patience to get the system to a level were you have everything you need working ...

kilps : I used Ubuntu for a couple of years. It did a lot for the linux platform (Which doesn't say much. Various linux distro's ranging from RH 5.2, Mandrake, Fedora, Suse to Ubuntu all crashed alot more more often than even windows. But this was disguised in the form of "kernel Panics" or X constantly trying to boot and failing, ending in an endless cycle, Software installation nightmares) and managed to make using linux a lot less of a constant fight, but to be honest, it is still nowhere near as good as Windows, let alone OS X

Many people don't know how to take care of Windows. Here are some tips:

- Stop using Windows 95/98/ME, use XP.
- Than, Update to Service Pack 2, with the latest updates. (VERY important - more important than anything on this list)
- Defrag your HDD at least once a month.
- Scandisk your HDD at least once a month.
- Use Spybot - Search and Destroy for Spyware, at least once a week to get rid of all those nasties.
- Use AVG for Viruses.
- Use CCleaner to remove crap and fix registry errors.

Note: All tools mentioned here are freeware, except Windows.

If you are having Windows issues, clearly you aren't doing something on the list.
