It's great. Definitely faster. Even the launcher and home screens are smoother.

Hmm, proceed at your own risk. I haven't heard of anyone doing it. I do know that the manual only works for the default ROM on the N1, and also not the AT&T N1s (ie the ones bought on contract) so I would assume that the Desire would be a problem
