I have had an ongoing dispute with Cell C regarding the unilateral termination og my pre-paid broadband service. I have even used "hello Peter" to voice my disapproval. In essence, someone at Cell c decided to suspend my pre-paid contract 3 months before it was due to expire. No amount of threats and postings, and phonecalls and personal delivery of documents to Cell C headoffice had any response. Lots of commitments were made in terms of someone contacting me to resolve the issue, but nothing has happened in this regard

I get the distinct impression that the management at Cell C have got ostrich blood in their veins....but your head in the sand and it will go away.

Unfortunately the contract was in my company's name, so I cannot go the Small Claims Court route, and I suspect Cell C know that it will not be worth my while to pursue legal channels.

But.......to all prospective Cell c clients out there....a word of advice......DON'T!!!!

Check out Hello Peter and see why!

What was the reason they gave you why it was cancelled?

I have a feeling there is more to the story here?

No reason given....they initially indicated that they had someone working on the case, but it died a sudden death. The fact that I only had about 3 months of my contract left (value+- R450.00) does not make it worth my while to pursue the issue anymore.......it just irks me that they can behave so autocratically and still get away with it!!

Well the reason I say there must be a story is that I had a similar experience, in my case I have 2 months left on my Data and my card got blocked with some excuse about my Rica information could not be validated, and this while I have 2 other Cell C numbers. This all happened while I was in communication with them, so its not like I was ignoring the SMS.

I was planning to migrate my 2 Data SIM's to contracts come end of January when the data expired but seeing that they "lose" RICA info I guess I will go to another SP for my contracts.

Edit: oh and same as you I am not going to waste my time and money to rectify it.
