Corticosteroids.

Yeah I know this seems like a topic that Jamal would start but these things are freaking incredible!

I've had a bit of a rash/irritation recently and haven't paid much attention to it thinking it would go away. After persisting for about a week, I got some Letnovate ointment which I applied and less than 10min later my skin was back to normal.

Excuse me for the seemingly unnecessary thread but I'm just totally amazed right now. :wtf:

Often in the past whenever I've had a medical issue and tried to resolve it myself, and failed, I am amazed how quick and easy and cheap professional advice is (compared to the time and money I've already spent).

Quick and easy, yes. Cheap I'm not so sure, depends where you go I suppose. I got the ointment from my folks who are doctors and happen to have a whole lot of medicine just lying around.

Well a private doc is around R300 or so, right?

It used to be when I would go to get sick notes to miss exams during my varsity days :D. Not sure how much they charge now.

Was at PTA East hospital recently, thinking it would be cheaper than a private doc, and I paid R565 for a consultation! Didn't even get any meds with that!

Cool

I sometimes get a deodorant rash and need a cortisone cream to nuke it.
Problem is that it thins out your skin, so you can't use it often.
