I know this may sound a silly question , I just googled my Vodafone K4505 USB modem to show my next doors neighbour , and spotted what seems 2 different specifications showing 2 different 3G frequency's

The same differencies are for K4605 from different Vodafone networks. Generic model is four bands, but limited dual band version is sold in some networks.
The same applies to generic Huawei modems vs. branded. Generic E367 is four band. Branded 8ta version I use is dual band. A real version is printed inside SIM compartment E367-U2 (perhaps meaning UMTS 2 bands).

one is OEM Hauwei, other is OEM ZTE. Avoid the K4505-Z at all costs... LOL

Thanks guys for the info, my neighbour has seen an advertisement in the local news paper for a used Vodafone branded K4505 , I was just showing him my Vodafone K4505 specification when I came across the 2 different K4505 3G specification. now I know that all though the modem is branded Vodafone K4505 , there's a possibility that the one for sale could be the 3G .... 2100 / 900MHz model , and not the 3G - 900/850/1900/2100Mhz model my neighbour wants . Would there be any way of telling which model is for sale by just looking at the modem its self ?

For Vodafone modems bands are written on the box. If you don't have access to the box, use MDMA latest beta. Select bands one by one and see response. If modem don't support a band, it will respond with error. Remember to return to automatic (all bands), as it is stored in the modem.
