I Love Linux

You rebooted the whole PC or just the VM?

XP rebooted the VM...

Went like this:

>Working on XP using virtualbox for a few hours with no problems and amarok playing music on kubuntu in the background.

>Clicked on a file I had to open then got a BSOD for no reason and XP rebooted while linux was still running smoothly playing my music :D

Ah today was a gooood day.
You see at school we use XP, and there is particularly nasty virus doing the rounds, and I've been struggling to get rid of it for over 2 weeks now. So i decided stuff this, I whipped out an Ubuntu Live CD and installed it onto the PC. (The PC's wasn't working so I didn't mess anything like that up). Within 45minutes my friend and I had a whole Linux distro up and running, with all our network documents and compiz effects all pretty like (we did the install and config during a lesson and part of break). Can't wait till Thursday to show off our install to the winbloze users!

BTW does anyone know of a good free/OSS Delphi IDE for Linux?

There is a decent kde based dev ide (dont remember name, something like kdevelop or so), however I just used kate (with the coloring profiles) in the past and then writing the Makefiles manually myself and then compiling with make.

Instead of developing I've decided to rather contribute in the graphics department, that is what I do for a living anyway.

I was planning on starting some opensource projects of my own, but I've never developed before so am clueless.

Take a look at QT for graphical projects in C++. KDE was developed in QT....
