I managed to install single view.
I already had an old dstv dish mounted.
I never thought the DSD 1131 would be so small.
I was getting worried when I had to join the f-type connectors to cable ends , and also whether the cable was too long , and also whether the LNB connection would work.(Basically I was worried that I'd have to call in an installer)
I found my signal is 87% . In total it took me 4 hours max to setup , I would not recommend self install if you don't have the time and if you have +- R1300.
Anyway , I covered the LNB connection with rubber cover and tape so I'll have to see after a couple of rains whether it is reliable.
If the installation is a permanent success , then I saved +-R300 and have a few extra equipment.

I've done it a few times myself. I am sorry I've seen some monkeys do it and thought that it can't be that difficult. if you know in what direction to point the dish its just a bit of time that is required when you don't have all the fancy equipment. I've even helped where people installed dual view where the second TV is more than 80meters away from the decoder. All the places we phoned said you can't do it without boosters and they gave us quotes in the thousands of rands and it worked without any booster.

Yup, certainly don't need a degree to install it! Easier than installing an aerial. (the decoder tells you when it's happy)

nice man, im glad it worked for you but i would sugest you try and get your signal a bit better try changing the angle of the lnb, you need some to wath the signal level while you do it

I heard some guys use these cheap ear phones to install maybe that might help but I dunno what to hear for..........

Easy, the maximum ExtraView I did was exactly 100 metres, no booster, amplifiers whatever, still working after 5 months.
