WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE.

I want a prepaid 64k SIM card:

MTN
Goto any MTN shop
Buy a 64k prepaid SIM card - R0.99
Have it RICAd
End.

Vodacom:
Goto any Vodashop
Buy a 32k prepaid SIM card -R2
Have it RICAd
Travel 30 km to my nearest Vodacare Walk In Center (I tried two Vodashops - they couldn't help me)
Buy a SIM swap to a 64k SIM - R20
Have it RICA'd
Have it activated
End

Forcing me to pay R20 on top of the additional R2 just so that I can get a 64k SIM is ridiculous - The cost price difference between the two types of SIMS is around 2 US cents

And what about the wasted time, fuel costs to the walk-in center, additional packaging to be thrown away etc

Why can't Vodacom just sell 64K prepaid SIMS like MTN does!!!!!

I have just confirmed with one of my shops. They also only get the 32K prepaid packs. I truly do not know why though. But, the only big difference between the two is phonebook storage. They will work just as well as the 64K cards when it comes to network connectivity etc etc. Sorry I cant shed more light on it for you.

Not sure why anyone would go to all that trouble to get a 64k card? I use several 32k's for data, all working as intended. As I also understand it, the only practical difference is phonebook storage...

Wasn't there also some or another problem with certain WAP services requiring a 64k?
