I need a new ISP asap, please help

Oh and by the way, Telkom did come back to me. The problem is, according to them, an underground cable network problem. They stated that it is a complex problem and that they will address it as soon as they can. I deduce that it translates to "The underground copper wires in your area is old and screwed, we probably can't help you".

If you want to get hold of someone Higher at telkom, see link above.

Thanks. No I know someone quite high up in Telkom personally, this fault was escalated way up, as in executive level way up. That's why I know that this issue isn't something small, and it won't be fixed soon.

I see.

Try Telkom LTE if supported in your area ;)

Thanks for the suggestion :) I did consider it, but FUP of 50Gb, if I recall correctly, won't cut it for my needs, I do at least 200-300Gb per month, and that's not for entertainment, that's purely work related unfortunately...

As mentioned, I'm going for Neotel (6Mbps Neobroadband wireless, 600Gb FUP should do the trick).

Okay, so turns out there's no line of sight to Neotel WiMax tower from my property.

I submitted my details (to WAPA) and I've been contacted by places like wan4u, but I honestly can't pay R3000+ per month for a 2mb shaped connection. Bromberg WISP contacted me, but they have no uncapped, and their prices are ridiculous.

Neotel said they'll send other people to check for LTE reception., but if that doesn't work out, I am completely and utterly screwed.

Does anyone else have any other options? Since my Telkom ADSL account is only due to get suspended tomorrow, I called them again as well and begged them to please just try something, or give me options somehow...
