I need an extra HDD

So I'm running seriously low on the 2.5TB of HDD's I've combined, but so scared to buy a Seagate. As far as I know Pc Int only have Seagate's at the moment.

Won't all the new Seagate's be fine now, with the bugs sorted out? :p
 
Dude. I think the 7200.12's are perfect.
Have not heard of any problems with them. Ive got one and all is well!

The last I hear they stopped at 7200.11 and are busy with something new, but the guy said it isn't going to be v12. Eish... :confused: Damn stupid computer salesmen :(
 
if it's only going to be for storage then i strongly suggest that you consider the green series western digital 1tb drives. they run much cooler and quieter than most i have tried and tested (not just hype)

i cool pc is a happy pc ;-)

Well will try PC int again tomorrow, but I'm sure they are out of WD for a while now (2 months)

That Green series not in 1.5TB?

Please stay paranoid and scared of Seagate.. I'm enjoying the cheap prices. :D
 
I have a 7200.11, been running it from last year october and have had no problems yet, did update it to the latest firmware though.

these drives with the 32mb cache are quite faste also, or atleast i feel they are fast, i average 60mbps write and it peaks at around 90mb/s
