I need some advice on Phimosis

Lol can't believe there are actually a few of you who actually have this. Rich don't worry it won't tear if you have sex, just make sure you and your lady friend are well lubed. The worst that can happen is as Acid said with the para-phimosis.

I know it can have quite a significant psychological effect on you. I would agree with going to the urologist. Snipping is not a bad thing(i know) and all the **** and anguish that normally goes alongside with sex has gone away :D

You can have sex while you still have phimosis (and enjoyable sex at that ;) ) but there needs to be moments of cautions when the mood takes you.

Just go though...you won't be sorry.
 
Yea, and if you wear spectacles, go for lasik eye surgery. These are the 2 things I don't regret doing at all and wished I did it earlier

OT: How does the lasik work..? Your eyes must completely stop degenerating before you can go for it...right..?

Seconded. It's an extreme last resort.

Best option: stretching, preferably with steroid cream (I've heard betamethasone mentioned) over 4-6 weeks.

Second option: What's called a "z-plasty", I believe - essentially a dorsal slit.

I believe I had a dorsil slit, but I was too young to remember. All I can remember is the pain and the doctor telling me what to do and my mom asking me if I pulled it back. I don't recommend cutting at all (personal choice for you) but the steriod based cream helped a lot. I didn't necesarily stretch it to begin with, I just applied the cream. What I did start doing after a week or so is to pull the skin back slowly (as much as possible without pain, barring discomfort) when I was fully erect. Pretty ****ing tough STAYING erect while doing the (what was in the past) the most painful thing ever. But that cream is amazing in increasing the elasticity and I was soon able to stop using the cream.

Well it depends. You'd have to go to your optom. They don't recommend you doing it if you're younger than 21 (I think?) because your eyes are still changing. But if your prescription or eye didn't change in the last 3 years it should be safe.

They do a few tests to see if you're a candidate (depends on the thickness of your cornea and all that crap) but in most cases they can improve your vision dramatically. I went from -1.9 / -0.8 to better than 20/20 vision. Was amazing walking around seeing EVERYTHING better without the glasses.

FYI, your eyes keep on degenerating as you grow older, but it should be only for reading (short distances or whatever)

If you're thinking about it, I think the doc charged me R600 for the initial consultation and all the tests. Which isn't much if you're curious if you can have it done or not. Medical aid covers it I think but I don't do medical aid and was able to get a R4k "cash" discount.

"a bit" is an understatement dude. They can improve your vision (in most cases) from -6 to almost 20/20. (better than the requirement for driving a vehicle without the need for glasses)

The doc said I have a 3% chance of NOT having 20/20 vision, and even then, I'd be much better than the legal requirement.

Maybe a tip when taking a pee, hold the front closed and let the foreskin blow up with the pee then let go. Might help to stretch it a bit, I do it often as it looks cool :D

That might be the reason I never had a problem, all the practice :D

Hahaha i found this funny. I was a rather active teenager, till it hit me. Still struggling with my problem, but after reading this, I'll go see a doctor. It seems so select random guys anywhere...
