I do not know Anything about websites / coding / or stuff like that. It will take me months to learn and by that time it will be to late. It;s like me telling you to plan the perfect tour to a country you don't know, it sounds easy but there are so many things involved you would not know where to start. So let your mind be boffled, not all of us are blessed with IT skills. Thanks.

If I had to do it myself it would look anything BUT professional, and it would indeed cause harm. I did NOT want it for free - I said I will pay once I sold the puppies. I would have signed a contract. So please do not twist my words that I want it for FREE.

True, but I must supply the mix and ingredients and make the cake, then give it away for free?

OP doesn't want to learn but rather have someone do it for free without even making an effort. You may find someone willing but even a little incentive and you can have all up and running easily ;)
 
I taught myself to make websites and anything you need done you can look up how to do. With Wordpress themes, you can make the website look simple and professional easily.

But you said you won't be making a profit, so what will you be using to pay the person who makes your website?

Yes, because I will pay the person some money hence no profit!! The money I make from the puppies, will make me my money back I spent on getting them to SA + decent wendyhouse kennel, plus all quarantine expenses plus all medical bills plus website reimbursement. Hence, no profit.

Are you giving the next batch away for free (unless they only give birth once in a lifetime, then no profit).
 
The puppies will only be born 2014. The puppies I am importing is only 3 months old, and Lola is 8 months so only next year will I have my first litter. I will only breed when Lola has had her 3rd heat and when she is 18months old. I have not started breeding yet and do not plan to run a puppy mill. I will make no profit from my first litter, and the money I will get from a second litter will go towards importing another quality dog, so, as you can see I am not doing it for the money, but to enhance the breed standard in SA.

It can be professional and cheap and you can do it all yourself.

Out of interest, what would it cost to have someone design a basic website? Just product descriptions, pictures and contacts? No payment facilities just yet.

I am also looking to create one, but I am employed full time so I really don't have time.

:) :) Thank you very much, and thank you to everyone who offered to help. There really are some very nice people on here!!!

I will keep you updated in the Chinese Crested thread - and post pictures of my puppies when they come in September, as well as how they fare in shows and off course the new litter :)
