hey guys whats up ?
got a question :)
if you download off the i.s news server with newsbin does it affect your international bandwidth ? or just the local ?

If you not yet capped internationally, it will count towards your capped. Thats why it's better to wait until you capped internationally, and then go to town with the newsgroups which would then count towards your local cap.
 
no ways just wondering :) what you guys to accuretly monitor if you capped or not ?

That works for IS accounts? Assuming of course he's asking about IS news server because he's an IS user.

I use the Hyperlink bandwidth monitor http://hyperhosting.co.za/hypermonv6.exe
Not sure if it will work with other ISP's IS based accounts, but it's worth a try. Excellent tool with detailed statistics so you know every detail about where your bandwidth goes. Otherwise ask your ISP if they provide a bandwidth monitor

Thats just a rebranded version of SAIX ADSL Stats Analyser, still version 0.06, while the current SASA version is 0.12

Other than the hyperlink logo, it's exactly the same

LOL my bad, don't really bother looking at anything that mentions SAIX or Telkom :D
 
Yeah didn't realise it was the same app written by ant1b0dy cos I was always on IS. IIRC he released it when there were still 30gig accounts up for grabs at around R300, and at the time was only SAIX based. Maybe that's why I didn't notice. Very accurate little app nonetheless
