i Talk Cellular Thinkpad offer

Some interesting offers on the site but i can't find the laptop one..?

Hey Guys

All laptops being offered by the various SP's are entry level spec,
basically Intel 1.5 Celeron, 256mb ram, 40gb hdd, DVD/CD-Rw, XP Home etc..

We have a deal with the N70 and a Fujitsu Siemens Laptop at R329 p/month

www.notjusttalk.co.za

Sounds like a good deal. Why is not on the website any more?

'fraid not. I only follow that stuff once every 2 years :)

I use Vodacom (sadly) on their Family Topup contract thing, I don't like surprises on my bill and I don't make that many calls or SMSs.

I'd rather buy my own laptop, usually on a cellphone special like that, either tha laptop is low spec, or the phone you get is crap.

I'ts a nice deal if yuo've already got a nice phone you want to keep using and then you can sell the new crappy phone and keep the laptop :D

So would i...Do you have the specs of the cell c offer? Or even a link to it?

bumpity bump bump.

The girl in the office next to mine is looking for a cell / laptop deal. Italk MTN's a bit expensive for her. Any other deals out there for a cheap cell & lappie?

It is unfortunate that all the deals are using "old" stock and entry level machines.

When buying a laptop the golden rule is always to get the best you can as there are very upgrade paths for laptops. You are usually limited to more memory and whatever you can connect via the external ports.

1. No not really that hot. Not hot enough in any case.
2. Entry level will be fine for her.
3. On which page is that notjusttalk deal?

Or was that just talk?

The laptop I got from Vodacom/Incredible Corruption has decent specs for a first laptop. I am certainly very impressed with it.

Also, there is no way that they would give away top of the range brand new lappies with cellphone deals. It just isn't worth it financially.

The Toshiba that you get with the Business Call contract costs R6400 retail. The contract is R200 over 24 months plus a buy-in of R1500 means that you are only paying R100 more over the 24 months which is great in my opinion.

As for that notjusttalk deal, I keep asking for more info, as there is nothing on the site to that regard, but it does seem to be just talk...

That Vodacom/Incredible Erection deal is a good one, but I don't think she has 1500 bucks.
