I think its the first model HD decoder-software problem

Is there much of a market for second-hand SD dualview PVR's?

Yes, they enable you to have 3 viewing environments and record 3 channels when coupled to a hdpvr. Also you can replace the hard drive yourself.

The fan on mine is kaput. Replacing it should be easy enough, but where can I source that fan?

Some of our HD channels don't work.Is this an issue with any of you guys I mean we have fiddled with the wires many times but it doesn't seem to be a connection issue.

HD Decoders

I have a old SD PVR... works like a old Lister...... no issues.
New HD PVR:
KEEP THEM COLD........... sorry for the shout but they all have heat issues. Ventilation ventilation and more ventilation.
Old Black Pace PVR has a hardware issue on the HDMI - it is not CEC compatible. This means that devices that communicate with each other via the HDMI will give you issues.
The New silver 4 PVR does not break the communication and my TV can communicate with my Home theatre.
I still have software issues:
1. Remote eye disable by itself  My decoder is not in the same room....
2. Keep on jumping to the previous channel. Hard reset is the only thing that work.

You know you are getting a SH*TY product when the official support message is to:
Power down - Power up. - Best way to hide software bugs.

I had one of the 1st HD PVR's (P30000xxxx). Had it for around 15 months. Endless issues, freezing up, randomly rebooting, remote unresponsive, scheduled recordings failing to initialize, unresponsive menu browsing. I had just about every nuance associated with these HD PVR's. Returned it yesterday to MC and swapped it out for a refurb (no charge). The difference is chalk and cheese. New unit is just superb, loving it...
