ok i canceled my adsl more that a year ago ok.I only use the internet at night when i get home via gprs with a virgin sim card.
what do i need to get a very fast internet connection like dsl,and still use a sim card .I dont wanna pay alot of money as i dont have a garden outside
this is what i think,tell me where the points are wrong.

1-must get a hdpa/3g/edge usb modem.
2-prepaid sim--dont know which network(mtn/virgin/)
3-put sim in loaded with prepaid data bundles into 3g modem and use mtn/virgin network.
4-I am breaking the speed limit wow.:confused:
 
That's basicallky what you need to do, but you won't get HSDPA on Virgin.
 
You can use the Vodacom HSDPA network with Virgin. But with Vodacoms new prices, you might as well just join them
 
i hate contracts,so i guess mtn ppdb at R399 for 2 gig,this is hsdpa.is this correct.
where to get a good deal on this usb modem.will post in wanted on classifieds

Dont forget vodacom's month-to-month 4u contract.
 
MTN PPBD in my cellphone will get me 3g if I want. Apparently I just buy R400.00 airtime and then dial a number 5111 or something and they can convert my R400.00 airtime to 2gig data. Then just plug in my 3g cellphone with 3g mtn sim card in my pc and connect :p

Pity I dont have a MTN sim card, but I am considering it. Vodac reception is near to nothing where I stay in Honeydew. And if you can get 3g on good reception then Im sure its pretty decent.

Cant wait for a HSDPA phone then I dont need that stupid modem

What phone have u got that allows you to use it as a HSDPA modem ? I'm interested in doing the same i.e get a phone with HSDPA capabilities and then use it as a modem with Prepaid bundle. I wasnt sure if that was possible.
