The only reason a hot, skinny chick will lurk on a dating site, is if she lives in a small country town, where all the guys are tired of her shait.

I also have 3 or 4 female friends who use the dating sites simply because they dont know where else to meet men.
Most of them turn their profiles on and off a few times throughout the year. When they are on, they do get interest, go on dates, most of the men are pigs who just think any woman on the site who is real must be desperate and will have sex instantly.
They get tired of the pigs on there, turn profile off for a few months then give up and go on again.

I live in Pretoria and there are LOTS of pretty girls here. Maybe they don't want to go for you because you're the fat ugly one?
I never understood why people have extremely high standards when it comes to dating...friend of mine is like that and he's been single for 10 freakin' years now...
I mean, I'm not saying you won't get a hot girl, but don't let that be your be all and end all requirement.
And change your attitude...you sounds like a massive douchebag.
It's because of what other people may think. Once you are able to get past that; the world becomes your oyster.

Nothing wrong with online dating. People need to change their perspective about it. It's easier to meet someone and getting to know them before actually going on a date. You might find that they aren't to your liking, saving you on going on a date just to find it out and be awkward.

it's one thing to approach a woman, it's another to see every woman as a potential mate. for example, it's easier to advertise what you want online if someone is looking for the same thing. in every day life i treat people casually and equally, and i have limited time and shared areas with certain people, while i'm constantly missing people by minutes and hours, or in different rooms and different streets.
when looking for a job, do you go "out there" and wander around looking for employment, or do you turn to media to find the job best suited for you?
online dating can have its pitfalls, it's not where weirdos hang out, it's where majority of the web culture hangs out, which just HAPPENS to be weirdos
but then again it's all in what you're trying to achieve, are you messaging hundreds of women or merely advertising yourself on another platform?
