I5-2500 CPU

Unlocked multiplier...

Meaning you can overclock the CPU.

The normal 2500 can not be overclocked.

They also have different graphics cores, if that matters. Most people don't use those anyways (integrated graphics are still pretty much useless), but the 2500k has a better core (HD 3000 where the 2500 has the HD 2000)

I have a 2500k and it can be overclocked with suitable mobo to 4400mhz with air( BUT you must get better cooler . The stock one is absolute rubbish). This cpu is amazing I can encode video and play starcraft2 and no lags

The i5 2500K is an awesome CPU. I've overclocked mine to 4.5GHz stable. I do know however that Sandy Bridge likes 1.5v RAM and not so much the 1.6v, but it should be fine.

Enjoy!

+1 to what SerenePhoenix said: Rather get RAM that is rated for 1.5V than going for 1.6V rated memory (like you have), since you might experience problems with the 1.6V ones.

Will you be doing lots of video transcoding, or why do you want to go for a Z68 chipset motherboard, which is quite expensive compared to the P67 ones, like the MSI P67A-C43 for instance which goes for around R1200.
There are cheap Z68 chipset motherboards available from other brands, like Intel and Biostar.

Just a note, some of your items can be found elsewhere for cheaper. ;)

Edit: And no, I don't mean buying directly from suppliers.

Looks like Take2 got the voltage wrong, according to Corsair the voltage is indeed 1.5v,
@Pada: Yes I will do heavy transcoding, I like the Asus brand
@Sharkbait: I've been buying from Take2 for a couple of years and had never any problems from them, experienced only great service from them.
