IBM Lenovo?

Vista runs prfectly fine on the new celerons, just make sure you have at least 1GB memory.

Does yours also have that Lenovo Care button which accesses the partition on the hard drive which stores system files so you don't need a recovery disc as such?

Mine didn't come with any cds at all.

Nope, only button i can see is a "Access IBM" button. Im assuming its actually the same thing but never used it. Also think its used to access the bios.

Mine didnt come with cd's either, but if you look on c: ( if its preloaded ) you should see a folder called "DRIVERS" which holds all the setup files needed when re-installing. I only found this out after re-installing. Had to dl all the cr@p again.

I have seen that folder. The second partition that came on mine doesn't have a drive letter and according to disk management it is empty:confused:.

BTW, what software do you use for writing to CDs and DVDs? I normally used Nero on my XP pc but Nero is not included on the laptop.

I had to deal with 3 PC's and a Laptop from the company I work for

PC-Doctor 5
On Screen Display
Help Center
ThinkPad Modem
and other random junk software

Yeah, it does gave those. Also the MS Office is a 60 trial. The Corel suit also 60 day, with only Wordperpect included in full.

Had the Norton executables - luckily not installed:p

Got a Lenovo R52, still running strong 2yrs later ( one re-install only cos i f***ed up the registery when cleaning ). Had to add another 512 to it, set me back about R900 about 10mnths ago.

These Kingston ram are pretty reasonable. I need the DDR2-667 SO-DIMM.Would Kingston work well in my Lenovo? Any idea why the 2Gb is more than double the price of the 1Gb?
