IBM unveils its revolutionary 2nm processor

IBM has unveiled the world’s first 2nm chip, reaching a new milestone in semiconductor technology.

The multinational technology company said that its 2nm chip will be able to fit up to 50 billion transistors onto a chip the size of a fingernail.

Increasing the number of transistors per chip allows them to become smaller, faster, more reliable, and more efficient.

This means one can hold out buying a 5G phone for now right? I assume when 5G has the type of footprint 4G currently has this chip tech will be just as ubiquitous? What year we reckon?

My staff members Xiaomi Redmi 9t can already last 4 days with its 6000mah battery.

It's just most phone manufacturers don't want to give you large batteries with long lifespans. They want to give you a battery that runs low each night, so you burn through its cycles so you have to buy a new phone

I'm assuming that this development will make the current SoCs cheaper?
